Last year 80 students from 19 nationalities attended the Christmas special.
| Sunday, Dec 19 | Arrival | Check-in in your apartment at the GLS campus: there is no activity planned for the arrival day, but you´ll find lots of bars and cafes nearby, and also some shops like famous KaDeWe will be open between 1 and 8 pm |
| Monday, Dec 20 | Breakfast at the | Free afternoon, in the evenenig GLS invites you to a classic German Christmas dinner at the GLS restaurant "Die Schule" |
| Tuesday, Dec 21 | 4 lessons German | We show you Berlin´s biggest Weihnachtsmarkt, selling sweets, toys and Glühwein (see Alan´s photos) |
| Wednesday, Dec 22 | 4 lessons German | GLS guides show you Potsdamer Platz and we visit an exhibition in "Gemäldegalerie" at the Berlin Kulturforum |
| Thursday, Dec 23 | 4 lessons German | We take you on a tour to Kreuzberg and have dinner at a famous restaurant known for its German delicacies (dinner @ own expense) |
| Friday, Dec 24 | holiday | December 24 is the most important holiday in Germany. Shops are open till 2 pm. We suggest to visit a free organ concert at the Berlin Dom or to go dancing at Kulturbrauerei next door (no GLS guide) |
| Saturday, Dec 25 | holiday | Go ice-skating with us, in the very center of Berlin - right next to the Opera |
| Sunday, Dec 26 | holiday | We take you on a daytrip to Dresden |
| Monday, Dec 27 | 4 lessons German | Regulars´ table for all students @ GLS restaurant |
| Tuesday, Dec 28 | 4 lessons German | We visit the Jewish Museum with its spectacular architecture |
| Wednesday, Dec 29 | 4 lessons German | Sauna on River Spree at the Badeschiff (no guide) |
| Thursday, Dec 30 | 4 lessons German | We go bowling near GLS |
| Friday, Dec 31 | holiday | We take you on a daytrip to Potsdam. At night there are lots of partys in Berlin for "Silvester" = New Year´s Eve, the biggest party is the one at Brandenburg Gate. GLS guides accompany you on the daytrip, but in the evening there is no guide. |
| Saturday, Jan 1 | GLS invites all Christmas special students to a classical New Years brunch with Lachs and Sekt (11 am - 4 pm) at the GLS restaurant | |
